Room Dimension Guide
This guide will give you an idea of how much space you need for your pool table to play comfortably. As a rule, a standard pool cue length is 57 inches. If you meet the minimum requirements in this chart you will not hit the walls.
Most cues are 57” long. You need 60” inches from the edge of the cushion to the wall.
For a 7’ table, the inside dimension is 39” x 78”. So, the width measurement is 60” +39” + 60” for a total of 159” or 13.3 feet. The length is 60” + 78” + 60” for a total of 198” or 16.5 feet.
7 ft Table
Play surface: 39” x 78”. Room dimension should be: 13’ 3” (W) x 16’ 5 “ (L)
8 ft Table
Play surface: 44” x 88”. Room dimension should be: 13’ 6” (W) x 17’ 3” (L)
Pro 8 ft Table
Play surface: 46” x 92”. Room dimension should be: 13’ 8” (W) x 17’ 6” (L)
9 ft Table
Play surface: 50” x 100”. Room dimension should be: 14’ 2” (W) x 18’ 3” (L)
